Senior Solutions Program Manager

Overview:
The Senior Solutions Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of digital technology solutions that align with the organization's strategic objectives. This role encompasses project management, product lifecycle management, capital and operational financial oversight, backlog management, people management, delivering to the business roadmap, and the management of external suppliers for application development and handover into operational support.
Responsibilities:
This is a critical customer facing role where you will ensure projects, programs and products are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards to meet our customer expectations.
- This role ensures identified projects/programs are strategically aligned and delivered to meet business and commercial objectives. This role demands senior program manager capability to plan, direct, and be accountable for all aspects of program delivery from annual operating planning, business case development, resource management, customer relationships, communications, supplier management, financial management, change management, and project framework and lifecycle management
- Develop and maintain OMCS roadmaps, aligning short and long-term project goals with business objectives. The role requires executing programs to ensure delivery readiness for key business applications (OMCS), participating in product lifecycle reviews and supporting lifecycle activities, and executing product sunset activities as required. It also involves ownership of the delivery operating processes, work instructions, and tools. Additionally, it encompasses ownership of the delivery performance tracking, reporting, and improvement initiatives. The role is also responsible for project pipeline prioritisation.
- The role involves managing financial aspects, including project budgeting, billing tracking, and financial reporting. This encompasses overseeing both operational and capital budgets. Additionally, the position is responsible for strategy and the development of the annual operating plan for accountable portfolios.
- Leads risk management efforts for project and programmes, developing and implementing mitigation strategies and regularly reporting on status.
- Maintain the project backlog, ensuring tasks are prioritized according to strategic value and resource availability.
- Manage relationships with managed service providers to ensure high-quality application development services.
- Understanding and managing Stakeholders both internal and external
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT project/program management, financial management, product lifecycle management and vendor management.
- Professional certifications in ITIL, COBIT, and/or Agile methodologies.
- Extensive experience managing successful projects and programs in multi-national organisations involving the replacement or enhancement of major software platforms.
- Experience in the end-to-end delivery of a customer centric software-based application
- Experience or exposure to:
- IT Service Management (ITIL V4)
- Agile Project Management (Scrum)
- Project Management (Prince 2)
- ISO27001
- CoA DISP Framework
- Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)Defence security principles framework (DSPF)
- Leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing IT Managed Service Providers and external Suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills; capable of explaining to non-technical managers the implications of various technology-related initiatives/options.
- Natural problem-solving inclination
- High level presentation and interpersonal skills
- A high level of intelligence ability to operate not only based on important past experiences, but in the light of the approaches and developments that occur in the market.
- Experience in the satellite or telco sector.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders.
- Must be committed to ongoing personal development.
- The post-holder must have and maintain a current passport.
- Hold or have the ability to achieve relevant Security Clearance.
