ICT Technical Writer

Cleared Recruitment is supporting a leading organisation in the recruitment of an ICT Technical Writer to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for working across multiple projects and will play a critical role in the documentation and support of various technical initiatives.

Location: Canberra
Start Date: Immediately

Key Responsibilities:

• Documenting data models, reporting specifications, detailed solution designs, diagrams, and other technical documents related to business-as-usual (BAU) support.
• Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for efficient system use and operational processes.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather technical information and ensure documentation accurately reflects project requirements and specifications.
• Ensuring that all technical documentation is clear, concise, and consistent with the organisation's standards.
• Reviewing and editing documentation created by other team members to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Supporting the creation and management of various project documentation packages.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in technical writing, with a strong ability to document complex systems, processes, and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure is highly desirable.
• A solid understanding of information systems and the ability to document technical details effectively.
• Ability to work independently with strong initiative and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in documenting solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to create clear and user-friendly documentation.
