ICT & Cyber Security Engineer - NV1 Cleared | Defence Project | Homebush, NSW

Cleared Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a global leader in civil aviation, defence, and security.

This organisation is seeking an NV1 ICT & Cyber Security Engineer to join their team, supporting a major defence platform and overseeing all IT and cyber security requirements for the program.

This role is based at Homebush, NSW, with occasional travel to Nowra.

As this is a Defence project, you must already hold an active NV1 security clearance or above to apply.
The Role

• 
  Design and implement secure ICT and network infrastructure
• 
  Develop and maintain information security policies and ensure compliance with Defence standards
• 
  Conduct assessments of security controls and risk management activities
• 
  Create and manage Cyber Security Assessment & Authorisation (A&A) documentation
• 
  Deliver Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) services aligned with Defence frameworks
• 
  Perform IT systems administration tasks, including patching, user management, and system hardening
• 
  Analyse system and security event logs to identify and mitigate potential risks
• 
  Support the IT Security Manager (ITSM) in maintaining and enhancing the organisation's cyber posture
• 
  Lead security incident analysis and reporting activities
• 
  Conduct risk assessments in accordance with the Defence Risk Management Framework

About You

• 
  2-5 years' experience in cyber security or ICT system administration
• 
  Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in security and IT systems
• 
  Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
• 
  Solid understanding of computer hardware, networking devices, and communication protocols
• 
  Familiarity with ISM, DSPF, PSPF, and Defence A&A processes
• 
  Experience preparing security documentation and reports for ATO
• 
  Relevant vocational or technical degree in IT or cyber security
