Are you looking to grow and develop your experiences in Configuration and Project Engineering within a fun and inviting environment supporting critical Defence naval life support systems?
We are partnered with a specialised Defence industry supplier within the southeastern suburbs of Sydney who are expanding due to recent contract awarding and budget increase under AUKUS growth and are seeking an experienced Project Configuration Engineer with the ability to manage technical drawings, quality, configuration and bill of materials for naval life support systems. Role does require Australian Citizenship.

Permanent full-time role.

Role: Configuration Engineer - Project

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include:

  • Manage full lifecycle configuration of dive and hyperbaric equipment, ensuring documentation accuracy and version control.
  • Maintain configuration documentation, including drawings, technical specs, software versions, and bills of materials.
  • Drive continuous improvement in configuration processes, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Project services delivery support and overall engineering technical support for various mechanical and electrical supply.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Qualifications: Tertiary Engineering qualification with formal training in Configuration Management or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience: Proven expertise in configuration management standards and practices.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills. Effective communicator with experience in cross-functional teamwork.
  • Software Proficiency: 3D Modelling (Solidworks desirable), 2D Drawing (AutoCAD desirable), PLM software (Lascom desirable), and intermediate MS Excel and Word skills.
  • Other Requirements: Australian Security Clearance eligibility (Aus Citizenship) and a valid C Class Driver's License.
