Software Support Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Support Analyst to join a dynamic team, providing critical technical support for enterprise applications in a high-security environment. This role involves troubleshooting software issues, managing system performance, and ensuring seamless application functionality for key stakeholders.
This is a long-term opportunity with a leading Defence and government contractor, offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies and the chance to work on mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 application support, troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating when necessary.
• Manage and maintain enterprise applications, ensuring system stability and optimal performance.
• Liaise with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve incidents efficiently.
• Perform routine system checks, monitor logs, and proactively identify potential issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including technical procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Support application upgrades, patches, and deployments as required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in a Software/Application Support role within a high-availability environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, SQL databases, and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, incident, and change management processes.
• Experience working within a secure government or Defence environment (highly desirable).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ideally suited to junior System Administrators with at least two years of experience, particularly with Active Directory, Exchange, and SCCM.
• Strong interpersonal skills, as this is a front-facing role requiring direct engagement with stakeholders.

Security Clearance

• TSPV (Must be an Australian Citizen).
• Suitability check required (Process, approx. 10 days).
