Are you a visionary in technology with a passion for shaping the future? We are partnering with a federal government department who is seeking a talented Solution Architect to join a dynamic Information Management and Technology Division.

Position: Solution Architect

Location: Canberra

Contract Duration: 12 months x 2 EXT

Start Date: 15th October 2024

Security Clearence: NV1

SFIA Level: 5/6

As a Solution Architect, you'll play a crucial role in steering various ICT projects towards success, enhancing our architectural practice, and driving innovation in our technology landscape. Your work will be at the heart of national and international interactions, ensuring that our IT systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage comprehensive Project and Program Plans.
• Create and maintain Business Requirements documentation.
• Keep meticulous RAID logs and manage project artifacts using SharePoint, EDRMS, and DevOps tools.
• Design High-Level Solutions and produce detailed documentation.
• Oversee Transition into Service plans and provide monthly status reports.
• Ensure accurate weekly timesheets submission and track Change and Release requests.
• Adhere to cyber security protocols and manage Asset Under Construction balances.
• Coordinate project milestones, schedules, and dependencies.
• Deliver formal project closure reporting.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria:

• At least 5 years' experience in solution design/architecture.
• Proficiency across multiple technology domains (application, infrastructure, security).
• TOGAF certification.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience with Commonwealth agencies.
• Familiarity with DTA policies and practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, no code/low code solutions, and data/integration management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
