Focus of the role
The role is centred on leveraging deep technical expertise and broad experience in IT systems and DevOps pipelines to design, implement, and improve complex technology solutions. It emphasises optimising deployment, managing system lifecycles, collaborating with stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and fostering innovation to deliver superior connected experiences for the client's customers.


The Opportunity
The Senior IT Domain Specialist plays a key role in ensuring our platforms, systems, and solutions deliver a superior connected experience for our consumer and business customers. Leveraging your deep expertise in DevSecOps pipeline technologies, combined with your broad experience in designing, implementing, managing, and improving complex technology solutions, you will contribute significantly to our strategic priorities and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of DevSecOps pipelines, IT systems, and solutions.
  • Support the delivered systems using ITSM processes in the development, pre-production, and production environments, ensuring systems achieve availability and performance service level objectives.
  • Oversee the optimisation of deployment from concept and test into production.
  • Manage and validate system lifecycle plans, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with technology partners and stakeholders to understand customer needs and influence approaches.
  • Analyse data and stakeholder inputs to inform key decision making.
  • Apply critical thinking, problem solving, cost modelling, and options analysis to assess complex issues.
  • Assess vendor solutions and manage vendor performance.
  • Maintain high-level capability in domain technologies, including new and emerging tools and systems.
  • Encourage and support innovation, simplification, and continuous improvement within the team.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
  • Experience and expertise in DevSecOps pipeline technologies.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, Platform architecture, DevOps, Systems Engineering, Automation, CaaS, PaaS, Cloud Security, Site Reliability Engineering, and more.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCS.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, technical problem-solving, and continuous system improvement.
