Configuration Officer

Are you an experienced Configuration officer looking for you next step in your career? We currently have a full-time opportunity based in Bibra Lakes to join an industry leader in the Defence engineering field.

In this role you will ensure that Configuration Management, process and procedures are current and compliant with Engineering Management Plans. As well as directly influence configuration management across the business. This opportunity will present you with the ability to work on state of the art program in the Defence while continuously furthering your career development.

Role:

· Ensure Configuration Management, processes, and procedures are current and fully compliant with Engineering Management Plan and satisfy contractual requirements.

· Account for the full lifecycle management of engineering changes, including participation in Engineering Boards to maintain alignment with standards and objectives.

· Maintain and update configuration documentation (drawings, technical specifications, software versions, bills of materials, etc.)

· Establish and uphold accurate system baselines (both functional and physical) while managing version control and tracking changes to meet lifecycle requirements.

· Drive continuous improvement within Engineering Management plans, processes, and procedures, ensuring databases are accurate and improvements are systematically pursued.

· Ensure Configuration Management and all associated processes are maintained and adhered to consistently

Required skills and experience

· Formal Configuration Management training / certification or equivalent industry experience

· Demonstrated configuration management experience

· Firm understanding of Configuration Management Tools

· Strong attention to detail

· Experience working within the Defence industry is advantageous

Due to the nature of this project candidates are required to hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible for a AGSVA clearance
