Service Desk Technicians - TSPV Cleared

Cleared Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a leading Federal Government agency within the Defence Intelligence Community. We are seeking 7 x APS5 equivalent Service Desk Technicians to provide frontline IT support in a high-security environment. This role is based onsite in Canberra, ACT and requires an active TSPV security clearance.
As this position is within a Defence intelligence agency, candidates must already hold a TSPV security clearance and be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) before engagement.

About the Role

As a Service Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing end-user IT support, managing ICT stores, and resolving technical issues to maintain critical Defence systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage ICT stores, including stocktake, equipment setup, and disposal.
• Install and configure ICT endpoint devices and establish network connections.
• Perform network switch configuration, patching, and print service management.
• Maintain incident and problem management records and update Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist with system deployments using automated deployment technologies.
• Conduct network tracing, endpoint sanitisation, and cabling.
• Document technical procedures and mentor junior staff.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

• Experience in hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Strong networking and security knowledge, including DHCP and network fault-finding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, desktop system management, and IT service support.
• Strong incident management skills, including issue identification and resolution.

Security Requirements:

Due to the nature of this role, you must hold an active AGSVA TSPV security clearance and be willing to complete ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).
