Management Consultant

Cleared are currently supporting a fast-growing Canberra-based consultancy that are searching for experienced Management Consultant for their Defence customer portfolio.

The ideal candidates for this position will have a background in working with the Department of Defence, experience in process mapping, supply chain management, and project management, and possess high-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Process Mapping and Improvement - Proficient in mapping, analysing and optimising processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supply Chain Management Knowledge - Experience and knowledge with supply chains, inventory management, logistics operations and asset management.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking - Ability to identify root causes, isolate problems, evaluate options and implement practical solutions.
• Stakeholder Management and Communication - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with senior Defence stakeholders and convey complex information clearly. Ability to develop high quality written and visual presentations to communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
• Project Management - Ability to plan, execute and deliver projects within budget and deadlines, following established project management frameworks.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Continuous Improvement and Lean Methodologies - Knowledge of business process improvement techniques such as Six Sigma
• Data Analysis and Modelling - ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets to draw actionable insights
• Technology and System Integration Knowledge - Familiarity with maintenance systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform used in Defence or supply chain operations.
• Java Programming - Ability to write basic java programming

Security Clearance:

• Due to the nature of the requirement, a minimum of an NV2 security clearance is required.
