Junior Systems Administrator - Federal Government Department (Intelligence Community)

At Cleared Recruitment we are partnering with a Federal Government Department within the Intelligence Community to recruit multiple NV1 Junior Systems Administrators for their integrated teams in various locations.

About the Role:

We are seeking Junior Systems Administrators to support and assist in system administrative tasks within a key capability domain. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are looking to build and develop their technical skills in a high-stakes, rapidly evolving environment. You will assist in system installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and supporting hardware and OS needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple systems, ensuring they operate securely and efficiently.
• Contribute to the development of automation tools for ongoing system configuration management.
• Support ongoing hardware and operating system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Work collaboratively within a team, assisting with task prioritisation, documentation, and ensuring operational goals are met.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide support as required.
• Solve defined operational problems following established procedures and guidelines.
• Document all installations and changes to systems in accordance with ASD policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field (or currently undertaking).
• Proficient in operating systems, networking, database management, and security protocols.
• Experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining network systems.
• Familiarity with programming languages and general troubleshooting of system software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to solutions and process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Security Clearance:

Candidates must possess a minimum NV1 security clearance

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must complete the departments Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to commencement or within 12 months.
