Position Overview:

We are seeking a Strategic Business Architect Specialist to play a critical role in the development and implementation of strategic business architecture services that align with our agency's commitment to customer-focused design. This position is essential for integrating these principles into our organizational operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Architecture Toolset Development:
  Create standardized tools and templates that enable the Business Architecture team to deliver services consistently, aligned with internal strategies and business architecture frameworks.

• Training Development:
  Design processes, guidance documents, and training materials to ensure team members can perform services in line with industry best practices and internal standards.

• Centre of Excellence Establishment:
  Assist in setting up a Business Architecture Centre of Excellence to enhance strategic business architecture and design capabilities across the agency.

• Community of Practice Support:
  Facilitate the creation of a Business Architecture Community of Practice, engaging with various business areas and extending outreach to digital profession communities and other government departments.

• Advisory and Support:
  Provide expert advisory support to junior business architects, colleagues, and senior executives within the agency.

• Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and monitor performance to achieve desired outcomes.

• Collaborative Engagement:
  Work closely with the Business Architecture team and partner with workforce planning and learning development teams to drive and implement initiatives.

• Independent Project Management:
  Deliver outcomes independently under broad direction while managing multiple high-profile projects.

Mandatory Criteria:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in strategic business architecture with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in business architecture methodologies and tools.
• Background in learning design and training development.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex business strategies clearly.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Demonstrated success in collaborative high-performance team environments.
• Industry certification in Business Architecture is preferred.

Location: Canberra
The services are to be performed at
the above location, but the following
locations may be considered:
Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne
Working from home arrangements
will (on a case-by-case basis) be
considered in the provision of these
services.

*BASELINE security clearance or above is required*
