Working arrangements: Onsite Full-time (Monday- Friday)
Maximum hours: 40 hours per week
Security clearance: NV1 or NV2
Key duties and responsibilities
The ServiceNow Developer's Role and Responsibilities are:
- Develop, configure, and customise the ServiceNow platform to best fit business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements
- Assess platform requirements from business areas; explore/research/test ServiceNow out-of-the-box capability to exhaust ServiceNow existing application options before progressing with custom builds
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code when required (JavaScript)
- Code reviews and quality control checks to be undertaken as part of every project to guarantee maximum efficiency and productivity
- Develop scoped applications, flows, scripts and other UI elements in relation to custom solutions and out-of-the-box enhancements in the ServiceNow platform
- Provide guidance and expertise in relation to platform growth and development, in close collaboration with the ServiceNow technical lead and development team
- Conduct ServiceNow solution demonstrations and/or presentations to agency business teams and other key stakeholders
- Debugging and fixing technical problems
- Producing and running test cases to guarantee software quality
- Documenting code and application functionality (ie: drafting Functional Design Specification documentation)
- Staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in ServiceNow development ensures your success
- Conduct knowledge transfer on administration and development within the Service Now platform within the team
The ServiceNow Developer's required Experience / Training / Skills are:
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in ServiceNow development essential
- Minimum ServiceNow CSA (Certified Systems Administrator) essential
- ServiceNow CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) or greater desirable
- Proficiency with ServiceNow development, such as scripting, workflows, and integrations.
- Proficiency and demonstrated experience with ServiceNow out-of-the-box application configuration, particularly SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management)
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is desirable.
- Familiarity and/or training with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes is desirable
- Familiarity, experience and/or training with ServiceNow Procurement related applications and/or development of Procurement workflow is desirable
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities, including the ability to develop innovative solutions and form sound judgments.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
