Application Packager

Cleared Recruitment is seeking a skilled NV2 Application Packager to support a key Defence project for a leading global IT services provider, based in Canberra.

This is a permanent opportunity & can be based out of the clients' offices in Canberra or Brisbane!

As an Application Packager, you will provide essential support across Defence platforms, leveraging your expertise in software and virtualisation packaging to deliver high-quality solutions. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless application integration and deployment within a high-security environment.

You must already have a security clearance to apply for this position!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for customer infrastructure, resolving issues and recommending improvements.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of customer environments and service requirements to enable effective solution delivery.
• Package software into MSI format and deliver virtualisation solutions using App-V and XenApp.
• Ensure seamless integration of applications into enterprise deployment mechanisms using SCCM, Intune, and Windows Installer technology.
• Create and deploy PowerShell scripts to enhance automation and support system maintenance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify service improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• About You
• The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in application packaging and deployment, with strong troubleshooting skills and experience in high-security environments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience packaging software into MSI format.
• 3+ years of virtualisation packaging experience.
• Advanced skills in App-V and PowerShell scripting.
• Proven experience delivering package solutions into XenApp environments.
• Strong understanding of application packaging methodologies using Windows Installer technology.
• Familiarity with SCCM, Intune, and Microsoft deployment methodologies.
• Must hold a current NV2 security clearance.
