Senior ICT Engineer

Cleared Recruitment is partnering with a major Defence company & are seeking a highly skilled Senior ICT Engineer with an NV1 security clearance to join their dynamic team in Brisbane.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a hands-on professional who can also demonstrate strong leadership and strategic capabilities.

As part of the team, you'll play a key role in high-level stakeholder engagements, contribute to the development of business cases, and provide insights into commercial and solution design matters.

You will need to leverage your technical expertise to work closely with their international teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior leadership, including the CIO, to drive IT strategy and infrastructure development.
• Participate in strategic boardroom discussions, providing input on business cases and IT solutions.
• Act as a liaison between the International teams, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Lead and mentor the IT team while maintaining hands-on involvement in technical operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as an ICT Engineer with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand and influence business and commercial decisions.
• Proficient in solution design and technical project management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multiple locations.
• Prior experience within the defence sector is highly regarded.
• NV1 clearance is desirable, but Australian citizens who are eligible for clearance will be considered.

Location and Requirements:

• Brisbane-based, with 5 days a week required in the office.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment linked to the Defence Industry & products.
