Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We currently have position available for a Senior Electrical Engineer based in south-east suburbs. This role will be suitable for an engineering who has hands on experience with the design of electrical systems within automotive / defence industry. The successful applicant will have a strong passion for design and a deep understanding of electrical engineering process. Candidates should have a sound technical knowledge plus the understanding of design in conjunction with software, mechanical and electronic disciplines.

The Role:

• Conduct Electrical Design to meet required specifications
• Undertake electrical design analyses
• Prototype testing and detailed assembly of electrical systems
• Develop test procedures and plans
• Sound electrical calculation experience
• Prepare and review documentation required to support designs
• Good communications experience both written and oral

Experience required:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical engineering
• Minimum 7 years' experience in similar role
• Proven track record with CAD and CAE systems
• Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
• Excellent knowledge and experience with design
• Experience within the automotive industry is highly desirable
• Must be experienced in working in a fast-paced environment
• A strong level of problem-solving skills
• Candidates must be an Australian Citizen to apply

Due to the nature of the project's applicants MUST hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible for a security clearance. Applicants are also required to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
