Role: Quality Assurance Officer

Details:

The Quality Assurance Officer deploys quality frameworks at the beginning of a product or service development scope to support a product or process through to delivery, including through life servicing that meets the appropriate customer, international standard, and other defined government requirements. The Quality Assurance role is pivotal in ensuring engineering, production and service development inputs align to defined customer, standards, internal, and government requirements.

Key accountabilities:

  • Engage subject matter specialists to develop and define customer, internal, regulatory, standard, and other government requirements for all JFD Australia Products and Services.
  • Develop and deploy quality frameworks in liaison with engineering and production, and oversee development of Quality Plans, ITPs and quality process and procedure documentation.
  • Carry out internal and supplier process manufacturing audits.
  • Interface with government bodies and regulators as appropriate to ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis on part or product quality issues working through the corrective action process with relevant stakeholders. Participate in lessons learned activities.
  • Review CAR inputs and evidence to ensure CARs are properly addressed by process, project, or product owners in a timely window.
  • Conduct quality assurance analysis and reporting (i.e., monthly reporting etc.)
  • Regularly communicate with Project, HSEQ, Procurement, Engineering, Products and Production to identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement.

Experienced and skills required:

  • Technical experience in precision engineering and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated Quality Assurance experience in an engineering or manufacturing related industry.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, technical and /or electrical drawings.
  • Experience conducting Quality investigations and using Root Cause Analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of certification and documentation requirements (ISO 10204) - proficiency desirable
  • Fully conversant and up to date with all aspects of Quality standards, frameworks, and practices.
  • Understanding of ERP Systems (Glovia desirable) and Quality Management Software systems.
  • Lead auditor and internal auditing qualifications and/or experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills including knowledge of MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to professionally interact at all levels of an organisation and with customers.
