Cleared is supporting a Federal Government department in recruiting an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to lead and deliver key initiatives within a variety of high-profile programs. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to critical areas such as Intelligence Operations, National Police Checking Services, and Corporate and Enabling Services. While the positions are based in the Canberra office, flexible work arrangements are available, though some roles may require on-site presence depending on specific project requirements.
As a Program Manager, you will oversee complex programs and projects, managing multiple workstreams and leading teams to ensure successful outcomes. You will work across a range of high-priority initiatives, driving alignment with organizational objectives, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee the mapping of dependencies and create detailed schedules to manage project flows.
- Lead and engage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaborative efforts.
- Develop and present Board papers and briefings to senior stakeholders.
- Promote a positive program vision and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability within teams.
- Ensure strong program governance, including financial management, risk management, and reporting.
- Oversee third-party vendors and procurement processes to ensure alignment with program needs.
- Demonstrate resilience and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Program or Project Management, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
- Proven ability in stakeholder management, leading both internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects within time and budget constraints.
- Expertise in program governance, including planning, financial oversight, risk management, and scheduling.
- Familiarity with various delivery methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) to guide program execution.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams to achieve program success.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.
- Strong resilience and adaptability in navigating challenges and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with Federal Government agencies.
- Project Management qualifications or certifications.
- Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISM, and Security Maturity frameworks.
- Experience in Law Enforcement or Intelligence agencies.
