Platform Engineer
Platform engineers will be tasked with designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting code within containerized environments throughout the software development lifecycle.
In the Connection, Identity, and Authentication branch, they will collaborate within an Agile Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) alongside Architects, System Analysts, Testers, and Business Areas to provide technical input that advances business objectives.
The role involves advocating for and supporting the technical capabilities of the products maintained by the team.
The ideal candidate should have experience and expertise in the following areas:
Key responsibilities may include:
- Designing and developing containerized environments for microservice applications
- Implementing, testing, refining, and scaling applications within containers, considering secrets management, established security protocols, best practices, and enterprise quality standards
- Supporting, investigating, and resolving system issues and incidents
- Collaborating with developers, architects, and analysts to meet both business and technical requirements
- Identifying, evaluating, and proposing process improvements using technical solutions
- Sharing insights and knowledge with both technical and non-technical team members through effective communication, documentation, and presentations.
Primary Knowledge/Skills/Systems/Tools required for role include:
RedHat Openship Container Platform 4 (Essential)
Ideally, they will also preferably have technical experience and knowledge

OAuth2/OIDC pattern
Hashicorp Vault

Mandatory Criteria
Over 2 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments.
Over 2 years of experience with RedHat OpenShift Container Platform administration.
Preferred Criteria
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience (5 years).
Strong hands-on experience with scripting and development using shells, Helm, Node, Java, and/or application server technologies such as IHS, Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Nginx, etc.
Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms, container technologies, and Unix/Linux operating systems.
Experience in designing, developing, and implementing OCP environments and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with DevOps technologies, including GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and tools for automating SAST and DAST vulnerability detection, dependency management, testing, and code coverage reporting.
