Mission Systems Lead Application Packager

Cleared Recruitment is excited to partner with a forward-thinking, privately-owned company renowned for delivering high-impact operational capabilities to Defence and commercial partners.

This organisation is currently searching for a Lead Application Packager to play a pivotal role in Defence sector projects. This role is preferred in Canberra, Brisbane, or Adelaide, although other locations may be considered.

About the Role: As Lead Application Packager, you will support essential Defence portfolio projects by providing technical infrastructure solutions and expert packaging for mission planning systems. In this position, you'll work closely with support teams to meet project needs, maintain system configurations, and offer critical helpdesk support. This role also involves training Defence users and engaging with a range of stakeholders to sustain and optimise mission planning system performance.

You must hold an NV1 security clearance (with eligibility to upgrade to NV2) and Australian citizenship to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily expert guidance on Defence projects, ensuring mission planning systems are well-optimized and meet operational requirements.
• Package and configure software into mission planning formats specifically tailored for Defence environments.
• Manage and maintain hardware and software configurations, including Joint Mission Planning Systems and Electronic Flight Bags.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including ADF members, government departments, and partner organisations, to ensure clear communication and effective support.
• Deliver training on mission planning systems and contribute to ongoing service improvements.
• Maintain compliance with Quality Management System standards (ISO9001:2015) to support operational excellence.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience with Windows OS, configuration management, data management, and system security.
• Experience in Defence ICT environments, with knowledge of mission planning systems or tactical data links, especially in the aviation sector.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
• Industry certifications in information security or related fields are highly desirable.

Location: Canberra, Brisbane, or Adelaide preferred (other locations considered)
