Cleared is proud to support the High Court of Australia, which is seeking an NV1 ICT Service Desk Support Officer for a permanent role in Canberra.
About the High Court of Australia: As the highest court in the Australian judicial system, the High Court of Australia boasts approximately 75 full-time equivalent ongoing and casual employees. Most of these employees support the Chief Justice and Justices, primarily based in Canberra at the Court's own building in the National Triangle.
The Opportunity: Joining as the HCE6 ICT Service Desk Support Officer, you'll be instrumental in providing 1st and 2nd level ICT assistance to High Court Justices and staff, including support for the Court's courtroom technology systems. We're seeking candidates with a strong understanding of IT Help Desk operations, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions.
Operating under limited supervision, you'll contribute to the administration and maintenance of the Court's ICT infrastructure. This role also involves primary support for the Court's courtroom technology systems, making it an exciting and challenging opportunity.
Key Knowledge and Experience Areas Include:
- Management of approximately 120 laptops and 20 desktop computers
- WAN connections linking offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney
- Utilisation of Windows Servers (2016 and above) and Exchange 2016 messaging
- Upcoming upgrades to Windows 11 and migration to Exchange Online
- Standard Operating Environment (SOE) features including Microsoft Office 365 suite, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Cisco Jabber
- Management with Airwatch Workspace One Unified Endpoint Management and SharePoint Online
- Use of Dynamics 365 for the Digital Lodgement System and CISCO platforms for IP-phones and videoconferencing
Duties Include:
- Logging and prioritising support tickets
- Investigating and resolving technical issues
- Supporting courtroom technology systems
- Assisting with setup activities and maintenance of ICT assets
- Providing ICT training and documentation
- Liaising with external ICT contractors and suppliers
- Contributing to various ICT team activities
Clearance Requirements: Applicants must hold a Negative Vetting 1 AGSVA Clearance and be Australian Citizens.
