ICT Project Manager

The Data and Service Delivery Governance Branch within DFAT's Information Management and Technology Division (IMD) is seeking an ICT labour-hire resource for the position of ICT Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of complex ICT projects.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities and manage interdependencies to support specific business strategies and objectives across multiple projects.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop and maintain Project / Program Plans.

  • Document Business Needs / Business Requirements.

  • Maintain RAID logs throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Utilize departmental tools (SharePoint, EDRMS, DevOps) for project management and artifact storage.

  • Create High Level Solution Designs and Detailed / As-built solution documentation.

  • Develop Transition into service plans and documentation.

  • Provide monthly status reports.

  • Manage submission and verification of weekly timesheets.

  • Generate and track Change and Release requests through IMD's toolset.

  • Ensure compliance with cyber security assurance and assessment plans.

  • Manage Asset Under Construction (AUC) balances and ensure timely acquittal against projects.

  • Monitor project/program milestones, schedules, and dependencies.

  • Prepare formal project closure reports.

Selection Criteria: Essential:

  • Professional/industry certification relevant to the role.

  • Prior experience in ICT Project Management.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Federal Government projects.

  • Experience with secure government systems.

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in planning, managing, and executing ICT infrastructure / software applications / cyber projects.

  • Experience in a complex global ICT environment.

  • Familiarity with project management systems and tools such as DevOps, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Project.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
