Field Service Technician

Cleared ICT is collaborating with a multinational information technology and electronics corporation to recruit an NV2 Field Service Technician for a Defence base in Adelaide.

This role will support PC deployment and provide technical services to users across the Defence sector, with primary locations at Russell and other Defence buildings in Canberra.

This is a permanent, on-site role within a Defence environment requiring an active NV2 Clearance..

About the Role
Engage in technical support activities within service delivery and project deployments, including installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance. Address customer inquiries on operations and malfunctions, advising on maintenance and configuration improvements to optimise performance and customer satisfaction.

  • System Support: Deliver support for desktop, infrastructure, and services across multiple technology streams-Hardware, OS, Software, Networks, Servers, and Printers.
  • Incident Resolution: Resolve incidents and service requests within SLAs, with breach reporting for any SLA failures.
  • Asset Management: Oversee asset refresh, relocation, deployment, and decommissioning, ensuring CMDB data integrity.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage customer infrastructure, including desktop equipment, peripherals, telephony, and AV conferencing equipment.
  • Customer Communication: Keep clients informed on case progress, updating them on any delays.
  • Documentation: Log interactions and activities in the client's ITSM tool, ensuring timely submission of timesheets and project logs.

About You

  • Technical Skills: Proven experience in Windows environment troubleshooting, desktop support, and using diagnostic tools. Racking and stacking Cable management.
  • Customer Focus: A client-centered approach, with strong communication skills to manage expectations effectively.
  • Desktop Management: Proficiency with desktop management tools, incident management tools, and problem-solving within a desktop support team.
  • IT Knowledge: Basic understanding of the ITIL framework; Windows 7 experience advantageous.
  • Security Clearance: NV2 Clearance required; Australian citizenship mandatory.
