Role Description

As part of the Cybersecurity Operations Centre, you will be responsible for the analysis of security alerts, as well as being part of the team that builds threat models and events. The role is part of the wider enterprise security team that supports the organisation on all cybersecurity matters. The role will report to the Cybersecurity Operations Centre Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor, triage, and resolve cybersecurity alerts.
• Escalation and management of cases and incidents across teams and vendors
• Identify opportunities to incorporate existing and new logs with security value.
• Support the proactive development of use cases.
• Working knowledge of the Essential 8, ISM, and Protective Security Policy Framework.
• Demonstrate and promote the principles of workplace diversity
  

Primary Knowledge

• Experience working in an operational security environment.
• Experience with Logrhythm SIEM.
• Experience with the security of an Active Directory based environment as well as working knowledge of attacks against Azure/Entra/365.
• Recent relevant experience in a regulatory, financial and government context will be highly beneficial.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in cybersecurity will be valuable.
• Candidate must be an Australian citizen, preference is for candidates to have an NV1 clearance, however at a minimum we will also consider candidates who hold and maintain a Baseline clearance.
